I have no idea where this blog originated. I have no memory of reserving the name. How's that for old age?

All right, not so old, but I do remember when Eisenhower was president, so that's relatively scary. But I don't remember creating this particular blogspot site. Oh well, perhaps it's time to think of something to say.

For the uninitiated, I have a web site that I maintain, going into all the David-Copperfield-esque details of who I am and what I do and how my evenings are occupied. You can find out what music I like and what I've been reading. 

In a past life I wrote prodigiously (some might say frothily) in various Usenet newsgroups, mainly about The Beatles. Links to some of those articles are available, but I beg you not to judge me too harshly by them. It was a particular time in my life when I had a lot to froth about. I'm mostly over it now.

These days I'm much more into family history than I probably should be. If you're curious you're welcome to explore my genealogy site. You never know what you might find. Perhaps we're cousins. Sorry, there's no money to inherit from me. Alas.

My other big passion is gardening, and predictably I have a site for that too (why stop with only one web page?) and I update it now and again, especially during spring.
